Stonefort Big 4 Depot Museum

The tenth annual “Railroad Day” is scheduled for August 18th, 2018 at the depot museum in Stonefort, IL from 9 AM to 3 PM. The owner, Linda Blackman, along with local historians and railroad history buffs will be aboard to answer questions and share their experience. Located along the Tunnel Hill bike trail, Stonefort is 14 miles south of Harrisburg on Highway 45.

This railroad museum is one of kind in southern IL that has been restored to an authentic 1900 station feel. Linda’s motto is “preserve your roots”. The collection of artifacts includes local history, the railroad, and the hardware business of her family.
